I drove through Tunkhannock on my way home from Philadelphia today. Too bad I missed the actual quilt show (which is in 3 segments - one is all male quilters!), but all of the shops and offices on main street had quilts on display in their window.
Endless Mountain Quiltworks is a great shop. Shores Quilt Shop is also very nice - just opened in April. It's up the road from Tunkhannock on Route 6. (
www.shoresquiltstop.com) In between is Sanford and Sons Antiques and Collectibles. OH MY!!! Quite the place, but fun to wander through.
It's held every year on the first Saturday of October. Hopefully next year, I'll be able to go on the day of the actual show.
A bonus - the trees were so amazingly beautiful, they were almost a distraction while driving!
