If you are refering to the QC-1000 I used to have the espire which I really loved, traded up for another brother, and love this one even more than the espire(QC-1000). for FMQ even though it doesn't have a big harp like the janome, it has the AHA feature which keeps the tension on your stitches really good even with FMQ
