We have gotten the house somewhat put together and rid of some of the extra furniture. The LQS is closing and turning into a quilt retreat. I gave her a couch, 2 wingback chairs, 2 side tables and a coffee table. I probably could have sold them on Craig's List or a garage sale but I feel good about giving them to her.
I am trying to get things organized to take to my retreat on monday. I will work on my Celtic blocks but I also am taking a UFO - baby quilt that just needs the binding. I have the binding all ready to put on and the quilt squared up. I was thinking I just might want some hand work to do while chatting with all the nice ladies. I also need to get groceries for the meal that I am making.
Pam.........maybe she will give you a time at the retreat at no charge since you donated the furniture. That would be nice, you have saved her a bunch of money. Enjoy your retreat next week, and I have to agree with you about the size of the center block being part of the problem. I hate working with pieces that small.
