The knee "pedal" had a missing bolt, so it wasn't attached to the table. I was unfamiliar with this, and I thought the foot pedal was just attached to the inside of the cabinet for storage--out of the way with a neater appearance. My DH (he's like MacGuyver) figured out where it went and put it back on. The "foot" (I tried) didn't work too well in the floor while pressing down with my foot because it is one of the types that just has the small button to push down. I thought, boy, this is going to be interesting to get used to.
I really do like the knee control. I'd never tried one like that before.
