They measured the blades. they were less that 4 inches. The scissors were handed back to me. I was shocked. Nail clippers, small scissors, clover thread cutter (the pendant thingy) all should be ok.
I recently had nail clippers taken, not because they were nail clippers but because they had a tiny cuticle scissors built in! Guess it depends on the airlines. This was somewhere in Asia.
