It's not so much the color pink as it is the idea of repainting a machine in decent condition just to change it's color. I'd say what I said about any color change. Just me I guess.
Now if the machine was really in bad cosmetic shape with rust and corrosion all over it, like my New Home Model AB, then by all means strip it and paint it. But not one like the little thing that started this thread. I'd clean it, lube it, and sew with it.
