Default Need Suggestiona for 4 inch center square block

I got lot of suggestions on using a large print (horses) for a twin quilt...and went today to Joanns and found NOTHING!!!! NO HORSES!!!! On the way home I decided to stop at the new Super Walmart and just check it out...they are usually pretty dirty and crowded etc. But this one...turned out to be really nice! I went to check out the yardage department and JACK POT!!! There was 2 horse prints I liked! I took the suggestion of one lady here to use the yardage of the horses as the back of the quilt..so as not to be cutting the horses etc...it was the perfect fabric...horse big and small running, lots of color!

The next one I found was a horse print, but it was odd... in staring at it while... I noticed that the odd pattern of horses... the one part of each odd shape.. was about a 4 inch square of the main horses. I could cut a 4 inch square, have the horse right there int he middle and that could be the center square of a block! I was looking for some greens and browns to match and found this perfect green with purple flowers (purple is GD's fav color!) and I chose that flower print, and a brown batik looking pattern and a matching purple (dark purple, but bright in hue) and a green batik looking fab...And they werer $3.97 a yard ---- $5.99 cheapest at Joanns and the horse was $4.97 and the other horse for the back was $7.97 - $10.99 at Joanns! Granted I could use a 50% ofr coupon to get it about a buck cheaper at Joann, but they didn't have this pattern.. never seen it! Plus... the calicos are $6-$9 at Joanns and these same 100% cottons were $4-6 at Walmart. SO.. at least now I have a place to go when I don't have a coupon or when J's doesn't have what I want!

Anyway.. question.... any suggestion on a good, fun block that has a 4inch center? I know the star (center with 4 flying Geese for the points) is always a good stand by, but It seems I have done nothing but stars lately and am kind of tired of them, plus...a star might be to busy and maybe even to motley as the center would be the horse and the points green or brown.. don't think that would look good anyway

Anyone have any block suggestions using a print 4" center square?
