I lost my dad in 2004, but I did make him a log cabin quilt (that I have now)for his B-day and Father's Day in '91, they often coincide. I don't know how much he used it but he said he really like it. I think he was like my mother, will save this for later deal, - they grew up during the great Depression. I had made my mother a quillow with a large rose embd on the pocket for Mother's Day/Bday a few years before she passed away in '90.
