I was contemplating becoming a member of the local quilt guild. Three weeks ago I sent them an e-mail as well as application and membership payment by snail mail. I heard nothing from them. You should just show up. Guilds are always looking for new members. Just explain the situation. The member in charge of memberships may have had a family crisis and couldn't get back to you right away. Don't take it personally! Sometimes life just gets in the way. You sound like you would be a fun person to have in a guild. They will be fortunate to have you! Your avatar always makes me smile.
