OKSGlad ... Funny enough, last night, I had that flash, and wondered if I could manage to finish a wall hanging and then bind it. And here you are suggesting I start something NEW? I thought you'd be telling me to do some PC blocks instead!

Crocheting and Knitting I did oodles in the past. When I was married, I crocheted a lace table cloth for my dining room table! Ambitious young soul, wasn't I? Other than straight knitting, I never learned any of the extras til after marriage ... then there were a few years that I went wild on argyles, socks, mitts, and multi coloured patterned designs etc. One year, all 9 nieces/nephews got sweaters done in intricate designs and colours. They were supposed to pass them around ... I kind of doubt that ever happened! I still have many mini socks, toques and mitts I did for the Christmas tree (about 2 or3")!! Haven't done any C/K of any account since I had problems with my eyes and while I want to ... I'm hesitant! Of course, I had convinced myself I could not sew, too!

GFGs ... what size is reasonable to work with? I did find the online printouts last night ... www.texasfreckles.com 1" and 1-1/2"

QNSue ... what a sad back story in your family ... and I'm so proud of you for making your life what it is. And better still, that you are here and share with us. My parents are gone and my family are somewhat distanced now. My husband's well, I get one Christmas card from his only brother/SIL and not a peep from them otherwise or from the rest of the extendeds. MIL is in a nursing home and I oft wonder if I will be told when she passes? or not? So now you often hear me speak of my "adopted" family who are so good to me, though it still pulls at my ♥ strings that I have no ties, really.

So for me "special" friends and my "adopted" family have much more meaning now to me than the blood family ... and you Ladies are right there in my special world. I am EVER SO THANKFUL!!! Bless each of you for being YOU!
