Absolutely Not! I bought a Janome 6600 two years ago because I couldn't afford the 7700 which is what I wanted!!!!! Then surprise...............I got a credit card offer of no interest for a year so I thought, well, that must be a sign from above so went and bought the 7700! Now I have both the 6600 and the 7700! (plus a smaller Janome for classes) The joke in our family is how many sewing machines does one person need to make a quilt?????
I don't care!!!!! I love my machines and use them both. It makes me happy.......................
