I have a Viking Q100 I bought just to take to class and quilting away from home. It is very light weight, wide bed, cost was right, plus my other feet for my Designer 1 fit the 100. Now I have a new FW so will be taking it for sewing away from home but bringing the 100 for a backup. Carrying the designer 1 each time was killing my back not to mention standing on my head each time I had to unplug it.
