Thanks Jon. It is nice to know there is an alternative to the Boye's needles. It would be fun to see what that emery wheel looks like though. I have 4 needles which I don't know if they are good or not, and one in the machine, and two new ones. I'll need more eventually since I plan on using this machine. The bobbin assembly is a bit noisy (it kind of rattles) but the other components are smooth as silk. What a great machine - I feel lucky to have one. Thanks again for the tip on needles Jon.
