this is what happened to me. I was ready to download a freebee from the internet and was so amazed by all you could do. I love, love the cutwork needels and the idea of photo stitching that it didn't take much for me to go all the way up to the professional. My Ruby had only 7 hours of use when I got it and I had a great yr with it. When our teacher came back from the Viking convention and the great deal that was being offered for the Diamond Deluxe I traded in my Ruby. The new Ruby deluxe is great too but the Diamond is still head of the pack. I love Vikings, its so nice especially when I read all of these people saying how they have so many issues with thier machines to be able to set it up and it does such a great job. My store is having another visit from the educator this month for the Ruby Delux plus all the new attachments but I have to work. I'm waiting now for one of the new attachments that go with the interchangeable walking foot. It's a stitch in the ditch but it has a wide opening so you can use double needles and stitch on both sides of the ditch at the same time. Even though you have 3D you might be able to find stuff on Mr Patience's site to help you. I hope you can take classes from your store. If I can help in anyways let me know. I love embroidering so much; I do more of that than quilting at the moment along with working with the designs a little.
