I purchased a Janome Harmony for my 5yo DGD which stays at my house. My dealer recommended it and said to stay away from the Minis. It was $89 and came with a package of accessories (including several different feet).
I am also teaching my 7yo DGS to sew.
Both of them can do a better 1/4" stitch than I can!! LOL
