I agree with Buckeye ... I use mine almost exclusively for piecing (paper piecing being an exception). It shouldn't be wobbly and I too wonder if A) the foot is a lemon, B) the screw is not tight or C) the "accufeed" gizmo is not in position under the foot.
The only time mine has wobbled is when i didn't have it positioned correctly and the screw wasn't tight enough. I have the 7700 but suspect it would be the same situation.
