you can also use the checkboxes to select and delete some but keep others.
if you want to keep your PMs "forever", download them to your computer before you delete them from your board storage boxes. the "link" for that is at the bottom of the page when you are viewing either your in or sent PMs.
i always use the CSV format. it will open easily in most spreadsheet programs. it will also import easily to most database applications.
