Hi, Leigh! I'm fortunate to have a scanner to put the Dear Jane diagrams into my computer. Then I put freezer paper onto a piece of regular printer paper and print the block diagram onto that!
FP makes it just so much easier and more accurate. Here is a good tutorial when you don't have to sew through the paper:
