I have a 440 and I use #20 for applique. It comes standard with your machine, (It should) It has a wide opening to see, the line on the foot is not great, but I have learned to watch the needle, and not the foot, so it does not matter to me. But I am happy, it works for me. If you have that foot, try it, before you make the purchase. Also, I could not do it without the knee lift. a must for machine applique.
