I recently aquired a Pfaff 229. After searching for information on it, I have come up empty. There are a lot of 230's out there and they look the same on the outside, but no info on the 229. This machine was a challenge. Motor and cabinet wiring was shot, sparks were coming out of the dirty foor controller, upper shaft was siezed and the stitch width controll was siezed too. I have it running great now though. This is a brute of a machine that can stroll or sprint with precision. I was impressed with it when I was finished with it.
