Correct. I removed a motor from my 66 and added a hand crank. I have it sitting in the base of a portable case. I have to connect with my woodworking BIL to make me a nice rectangular base for it. Like this: http://www.treadleon.net/woodshop/bu...dingbases.html

Mine, too, sews beautifully.
