This machine was a challenge. Motor and cabinet wiring was shot, sparks were coming out of the dirty foor controller, upper shaft was siezed and the stitch width controll was siezed too. I have it running great now though. This is a brute of a machine that can stroll or sprint with precision. I was impressed with it when I was finished with it. Does anyone else have a 229?
Ok Grant, I have never heard of a Pfaff 229. I also have been doing some research and come up with zero, except for one 229 for sale on E-bay listed as a leather machine. I even went to the Pfaff site to download manuals - no 229 listed! But, if you do a google search you come up with lots and lots of sites selling bobbins with the 229 listed? I can't wait to get my 230 - then we can do a comparison!

Oh and Grant, what is the serial number of your 229?

Nancy
