Default Hawaiian Delight

Just finished a quilt for my daughter made from rectangles of fabric she brought home from Hawaii. They were roughly cut, not cut square, each had a nick on one side. Lots of them had the edge of the selvedge where the pin holes are. Anyhow after a couple years of thinking about what to do, I sewed them into sets of 6 and then did a DNP
cut: once down the middle and across the top and across the bottom. Then I rearranged the pieces and sewed them back together. Then I squared them up and framed them with the light turquoise. Part of the blocks were made from the shirt her husband wore when they renewed their vows in Hawaii. The back is made from his shirt, her dress, leftover blocks and pieces, and some tone on tone white material. The Sunbonnet Sue and Overall Bill are made from their clothing. Am so glad this is finished.
Don't understand why picture #2 is small, but if you click on it it will enlarge.
