So, I put an ad on FreeCycle.org a few days ago, asking for any fabric that people might have laying around and no longer wanted. I got a reply from a lady who said she'd been trying to give this stuff away and no one would show up to get it so I arranged to meet her and today was the day. The back end of her car was FULL of black trash bags of yardage, already cut squares/strips, misc bits as well as...get this....several already completed quilt tops- beautifully made!
She said she'd bought out a quilt shop years ago and was not trying to get rid of this stuff and what she gave me was only a small fraction. My stash is growing quickly and I'm going to finish those quilts and sell them
