What a great idea! Did you make up the pattern? I would love to make a few for Christmas gifts.
I used a applique leaf on my embroidery machine, instead of batting I used Heat Moldable. Molded the leaf around a coffee cup. Just made a rectangle quilted peice, then attached it with the sewing machine where the leaf veins are. No pattern.
