Default Queen size Scrappy quilt using 4" squares done...with a helper...

I had pieced this quilt last winter, but it has been patiently waiting for me to quilt it (or tie it). I decided to quilt it--not in the ditch, but "beside the ditch". I like the way it turned out, but our new cat/kitten/teenager cat decided he wanted on my machine and wanted to get the thread! I've never had him do that before. He kept attacking the machine--and then finally sat down on the thread. I think he could feel it moving under his body.

Here he is pawing at the moving thread lifter while I'm sewing.

Then, he just turned around and sat down on top, making it almost impossible to see because of his tail. That was it. I asked my daughter to take him away.

But I did finish the quilt. It's a pure "scrappy" using 4" squares with a mixed binding (idea from here on QB). I decided to "stitch beside the ditch" as I could go much faster and this was a rather large quilt!
