ive been planning on trying to learn to free motion quilt but am just now getting time to get serious about it as ive always got more quilts to piece than i seem to be able to crank out and work full time at a stressfull job and take care of our house. ive been pricing stencils and was amazed at how expensive they are for just a little piece of plastic i try to get them on clearance or on sale as thats the only way i can afford them and also am going to try some free hand stuff as well but my drawing ability is minimal at best. sometimes its hard to afford the longarming especially as i make alot of baby and lap size quilts it definatly cuts into my fabric buying budget in this economy. its really hitting hard at my house we have to really think about our hobby purchases as were both making less but cost of living keeps soaring.
