Default Replacement Quilt for my DD

This is a quilt that I just finished for my 52-year old DD to replace one that she made and lost. She made the quilt (3rd photo) when she was 20 and her son was only 2. She tied it. When her son was 19 he took the quilt with him down to Lake Michigan in Chicago to use on the lawn while he and friends watched the fireworks. When they got up to leave, they left the quilt behind never to be seen again. She talks about losing that quilt all the time so I thought I would replace it for her.

I posted the photo on the Board and one of our lovely Board members (so sorry to have forgotten her name) was kind enough to work up the pattern on her QE and give it to me. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I sewed it together and posted a photo of it and only then realized that I had done the navy blocks incorrectly. I decided not to take it apart. I FMQ it in some places but want to keep it soft so I will also tie it in some places. The 2nd photo is the back. I copied this pattern from a photo posted by another Board member. It worked out well as I was short on the navy.

I will be giving this to my DD on her birthday on 11/24. I know she will love it and appreciate my effort.
