Beautiful...thanks for taking the time to share with us. My sister had a Staffy called Gemma, when my sister brought home a little mistreated kitten, Gemma came into milk and mothered it. Don't know if it was the special "doggy upbringing" that little cat had, but it only passed away last year aged 21.
As for dogs with quilts....well I make them for our two, and my stepson got me to make quite a stylish number for his much loved cat who is basically their child substitute.
