I used the fabric that I would normally use. The fleece which was a non-pill from Hancocks was a heavier fleece and did not bat. The non-pill fleece from Joann's was much lighter in weight so I did a flannel for a bat here. Just make long stitches and clean out that bobbin area, builds up fast.I attached the binding to the front and pulled it to the back. I always do my bindings with a decorative stitch. I just like it that way and very forgiving.
