A gift card to a local fabric shop would be good IF you have one locally. One year I received a gift card to a store 80 miles from me and it couldn't be used on line. Bummer. A handmade pin cushion with some money tucked into it is always good. I have more fun planning on what I'm going to spend the money for than actually buying the gift. Sort of like a kid with a Christmas catalog. I usually spend my money for things no one would ever think to buy me. Like embroidery thread, special sewing thread, even underwear!
