My son and I made mine. I can send a picture if you want. We used L brackets to attach the cornice to the wall. When I had my couch made I ordered extra material for the cornices. Because I only had so much material I had to figure out how big the cornice should be. We used plywood I think. Worked out fine. We wrapped the material around the plywood covered in batting, stapled, then made them look like they were lined to give them a good finished look.
