You are funny DebraK!!! You can do it Jeanne! Just re-read your signature line! And remember: You don't have to like everything involved with making a quilt! You can give binding the "ole college try" and if it is something that really makes you unhappy, don't do it! You have already employed other options; there is no reason why you can't continue using those avenues. I'm afraid if you keep focusing on this task that causes you so much strife that you will begin to let it affect the other parts of quilting that you enjoy. Some quilters only like to piece a top, others like to quilt them and bind them. Big companies outsource tasks all the time; why should it be any different for us quilters???
