Too bad you are so far away. We could swap unfinished projects and do the part the other one doesn't enjoy. LOL
I don't like to sew blocks together. I have a Civil War quilt that the blocks ended up different sizes. They are large blocks and I enjoyed making them but when I started joining sashing and corner blocks, they didn't match up. This was a quilt that I decided to make extra blocks after I had put away the original templates. The end result was that the extras were a bit larger. I have put this aside to complete another quilt and now will have to pick this up and rip out some seams and probably trim down some of the larger blocks so they are all the same size.
I learned a lesson here, though. The ones I am joining now have been measured and remeasured so that the seams meet up. My favorite part of quilting is making the blocks and then doing the hand quilting.
