Many, many (too many to mention) years ago when I would be coming home from school, I would pass a florist and would go in and he would sell me some pansies for $ .25 for my mother, who was ill.
They were her favorite and it brought her some happiness.
I still to this day love pansies.....but can not get accustomed to seeing them blooming in the fall and winter..they were always the breath of spring and summer.
