I use the little magnet strips , put each machines' name on paper, glue to the magnet strip and put on the front of machine. Then take another strip, put all info about machine{last time it was serviced or oiled, date of purchase, needle size and date installed, etc.} on piece of paper, then stick it on the back of machine. I also list machines' personality and YES they DO have personalities!

To tell the truth, I used to name all of my sewing machines. Now I have too many (gasp!) to name. But I do keep an Excel spreadsheet to log my sewing machines. The spreadsheet contains the same information as your magnetic strips. I think I will use both methods. Where does one purchase the magnetic strips?
