QE, tried it both ways: mini-blocks on point and straight. For some reason they look better straight. I'm just going to use small sashing between them, maybe only 1/2" wide; the 1" wide seemed too large. Will decide when and if I get that far. Besides working extra, I'm finishing up cleaning my mother's house and hope to have it on the market in the next week or two. Not a good time of year to try to sell a house.
