Lots of ways to do this. Cut your sheets to the size of the mattress (just the top, plus an inch for each of the long sides and the bottom). You can do a ruffled bedskirt to attach to each of the sides, or do what I did - a tailored one. About every 12-18 inches you can do a double pleat...the easiest way to see it is to Google it as a 'tailored bedskirt', and you'll see how it looks. Very easy to make and simple, which is nice with quilts. You could just do a simple skirt and have scallops on the edge, too, or prairie points if you want to make things a bit more fancy. If its scallops, use a bread plate to draw your scallop pattern, and prairie points are easy to do....there are videos to show you how. I'm sure there are videos to show you how to make bedskirts, too, if you're a visual person.
