I bought the 6300 almost two years ago. I love it and have no problems at all with it. I piece and do fmq on it. I paid $999 new for mine at a Janome dealer in my area. I also looked at the 6500 and 6600. My 6300 has the same size throat as the other two. The only real difference I know of is the 6300 doesn't have the accufed (I just use a walking foot when I need to) and the 6300 also doesn't have the alpha/neumerical stitches, but I have them on one of my other machines.
