So much going on here and at home so I have been trying to read, but haven't taken the time to reply...
I have already downloaded the free "compass" blocks and think it would be fun to do this as a group..yes 1 block every 2 weeks would definitely be manageable and give me time to work on other things without worrying about always trying to catch up!
On applique...I can't do much hand work (wrist issues), but someday would like to learn machine. I am currently working on a project doing raw edge applique...learned at the retreat Ggal and I attended in September.
I sewed a mini-charm square (2 1/2") on top of a regular charm and then cut in half. I am making a couple Christmas table runners. Not sure on the layout yet...this was when I just had half of the blocks done and I wanted a picture to send a friend showing her what I was working on.
