Both your scarf and bag are wonderful! I went to the Premier Yarn site and printed out that pattern .... and several more I am sorry to say. Yeah, just what I need, more projects!!! Anyway, I also found this youtube demo (at the end of this paragraph) for the bag that I think is the same method that you used, maybe? I sure do like the idea of using the batting instead of the clothesline. I have made a clothesline mat and it is very stiff so the batting method should be wonderful for a softer bag.
