I have to move my needle too. I just put a sticky note so it lays over the power switch. I didn't even write anything on it, but it reminds me to move the needle.
I tried that...took a piece of masking tape and wrote 6.3 on it as that is the setting to make 1/4 inch, but even then...often I'd forget to do that as I was doing variety of things...HST then regular 1/4 etc. So I was always moving it back and forth....and forget!
