Love your block and your colors...the colors would go sooooooo good in my house! I'm sure once you finish this quilt your friend's husband will love it. I've tried paper piecing and don't do well with it...I guess maybe I need to practice it but the times I've done it I haven't been thrilled with my efforts...might have to give it another try after seeing yours.
