Super-size square on point looks pretty simple. Take two squares of fabric (36x36, if you want to stick with a 1-yard quilt). Fold both in quarters. Cut each on the diagonal (one single cut - that's itl) - leaving the folded edges on one side of your cut, and the unfolded raw edges on the other. Do this to both fabrics. You get one center square, and 4 triangles. Swap the triangles, sew them to the corners of the opposite coloured center square, and voila. Square it up. Considering loss for seams and squaring, you get two 34x34" (or so) blankets.
