Nancy,

The hinge pins on the Japanese made Rodney should line up perfectly with the Singer ones. I have switched cabinets and cases back and forth many times between Japanese made machines and Singers. The Japanese made machines usually used the Singer footprint.
BTW, Have you ever seen that huge hammer I use to threaten unruly machines into submission? They always give up.
