Jenny Doan from Missouri Star Quilt Company did a quilt using a layer cake and made stars. I love it! I am going to make it because it is so easy and so so pretty! You can cut 10" blocks and do the same. I loved her quilt. And it made a very big quilt. I can't remember the size of each block, but it was something like 25". Here is the video:
