Any pattern is good, you can add some words in Arabic like "Allah", "Mohammad", or "Salam" (Peace). If you go on google and type " allah in English " they give you the Arabic image of the word which you could applique or may be even with piecing. If you google " Mohammad in Arabic writing " you get the symbol that might be easier to copy or duplicate as is " peace in Arabic ". However, even using these terms in English would be great, as are anything mosaic in design. I think what are you are planning to do is awesome and it will be most appreciated.
