Thanks for identifying yourself as the inspiration for my Roman Stripe. I love it and I've about decided it'll stay on my bed. I still have to sandwich and finish it but was excited about "showing it off." I sewed many long 2 or 3 inch strips together the long way then subcut them in 5 inch widths to make the stripes.

The border on the other scrappy quilt is just LEFT OVER half square triangles that I've collected in a bag for years from other projects. WE grew up poor and I learned early in life you DO NOT waste anything that you might be able to use later. So, when I made this scrappy quilt I decided to sew each of those little half sq. triangle buggers together and make a border for the quilt. I like the look and will probably do it again in the future. I just took some pictures so will come back and post them when I get them off the camera.
