I have the embroidery module for my Bernina, and didn't use it for two years. I wasn't all that bothered, because I had a lot of built in fancy stitches, and thought they would keep my happy, plus it had so much on it compared to my previous machine, I wanted to get the hang of using it before trying the embroidery. When I did, the handbook could have been written in a foreign language as far as I was concerned. So frustrating, but it assumed that I knew more from the computing point of view than I did.
Eventually, I went on a one day workshop which was worth its money in gold as far as I was concerned. I learned how to work the module, how to get a built in programme from laptop to machine and stitch it. I also learned how to get free designs from the internet into laptop and then to machine for stitching.
I was away! To start with, I downloaded every free design I could find, then gradually began to buy a few. I am a happy bunny now.
