Mine are easy-------sew down the sides, and the bottom if not folded over. lay bag flat and cut 2" squares out of the bottom corners (don't include seams in the 2") Now fold out the cut corners so that you have the cut sides making a straight line (side seams will touch bottom seams/crease). Sew across there.

DONE! oh, don't forget handles. Mine are real simple. I cut 4.5" fabric as long as I want the handles. Lay out lengthwise, fold up a bit more than half and pin or press. Fold down enough that you can turn under a bit and have folded edge hitting just below center. top stitch. I always attach straps with boxed X stitches to insure stability.
